New Dystopian America
In New Dystopian America (in no particular order):
— where progress had been relentlessly reversed and calculatedly, determinedly destroyed, with one glaring example being climate change and environmental pollution which are worsened by promoting fossil fuels only and killing the most sensible, advanced solutions
— where women are no longer allowed to control their own destiny and reproductive rights, and they are told by men in power to have babies whether nor not they are wanted or can be afforded, and they are openly criticized for not doing so or following instructions on how to run their lives
— where the media is now controlled by tech oligarchs and billionaire plutocrats born from money cascading down into their laps of greed without limits or morality, as they claim they never have enough and play the victim
— where elections are now bought with the riches of billionaires and their corporations which flood politicians and political action committees, with money deemed "speech" and companies deemed "people", as decided by the Supreme Court in Citizens United
— where gerrymandering to cement control of Congress is the aim of those who were informed that they can totally ignore the Civil Rights Act and eliminate representation of black people, as long as they pretend they were only being "partisan" as a fully Supreme Court authorized goal, despite the obvious, inherently racist results
—where the courts engineer a return to prejudice, ignorance, misogyny, homophobia, racism and xenophobia to create/promote authoritarian/dictator rule in a system designed without healthcare but with fraud and deliberate financial inequality
— where pardons are given out like candy to reward those who directly contributed money to the president and/or to his gross and offensive pet projects designed to be monuments to himself, regardless of the intensity of the crimes of the recipients of pardons and the absolute clarity of their overwhelming guilt
— where immigrants are demonized and captured on the street or in their own homes without a warrant, then instantly tried, convicted and sentenced, sometimes to death, along with American citizen protesters who were deemed "terrorists" for their legal and constitutionally protected actions, all by a masked, untrained force not fully vetted before hiring, who live out their fantasy of separating families, arresting children and grandmothers, and destroying the lives of anyone who doesn't have the right race, ethnicity or skin color
— where the occupants of boats in international waters in the Caribbean or the seas surrounding Latin America are bombed and killed by American military planes without providing any proof of their crimes, under the pretense that they are at war with the U.S. which they have a total inability to threaten, because they are considered unknown and irrelevant as humans and instead viewed as nothing more than targets
— where wars are declared to have the overt support of God and the Pope is actually accused of being wrong about Christianity's aim of peace, love and helping one another
— where dozens of conspiracy theories and pathological lies per minute are spewed in the middle of the night and throughout the day by an infantile, mercurial, massively egomaniacal president and his sycophant, bootlicking, ass kissing political supporters/opportunists as both truth and social instead of mad ravings, often in response to serious questions which are always answered with attacks on the questioner and the hurling of childish, personal insults toward anyone and everyone who opposes the unending stream of negativity being normalized
— where government debt has soared even while under the control of former right wing debt hawks and now exceeds 100% of GDP, a level matching and exceeding the end of World War II, setting up the worst possible financial crisis due to the inability to respond to any other crisis
— where the military spends like a drunken sailor imitating the "Department of War" leader who was notorious for drinking like some other cabinet members but who nevertheless has requested a 44% increase in the military budget, partially if not mostly to re-stock weapons from the disastrous war in Iran
— where the debt is being framed solely as an entitlement crisis but it is actually a planned crisis intended to, among other things, provide an excuse to devastate Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, whose financial doomsdays could be solved in 5 minutes if Republican tax cuts were rescinded and the cap on millionaire's incomes for contributions to those programs were eliminated, but such simple fiscal responsibility is intentionally ignored since the recipients of benefits are considered expendable and billionaires not only won't be affected but count on even greater tax cuts for themselves as a result
— where taking over other countries that were once considered trusted allies but are now considered potential acquisitions is an open goal in the pursuit of a totally revised, take-and-plunder theory of manifest destiny and the ambition to have ownership of all resources
In this ruined, hellish land, freedom, speech and rights are no longer free and require fealty to an insecure, deranged and petty man who is endlessly upset and angered because the world knows that when he was younger he ran from actual military service but he wants to now cosplay a great conqueror who measures success by the amount of destruction he can cause while aware of and resentful of his overwhelming inadequacies mentally and physically.
He hides and compensates for his extreme shortcomings (especially between his legs) which he is terrified are obvious to everyone but which are instantly apparent to all anyway as he praises himself constantly in comparison to other men in the belief that repetition will make it true. He wallows in revenge and cruelty while bathing in his self-serving claims of unfair treatment and whining about the need for retribution. He surrounds himself with gold idols, revealing his utterly value-free tastes, while simultaneously consumed with jealousy of the riches of other billionaires and the control other dictators have when they rule with even more brutality.
Meanwhile, much of the populace is hypnotized by their devices which they stare at while walking like zombies, oblivious to the theft of democracy and freedom being removed from their present and futures while they chat with AI, interact with memes, hate who they are told to hate and given enemies to focus upon when they are not posting videos about the most mundane aspects of their existence. They ignore as much as possible being robbed blind by those who do not care about them. They are content to make a Faustian bargain with their electronics which are designed to keep their brains occupied while stealing their souls.
And Lady Liberty, with her ideals and symbolism totally ignored, looks down upon it all through the colors of total disgust, on a nation where sunlight can no longer shine through the dirty sky and malevolent darkness.
